DMS-59

DMS -59 is a 59 -pin connector with double-sided trapezoidal screw, which is used primarily for graphics cards. It allows the transmission of two DVI-I signals over a cable. The pins are arranged in four rows of 15 times, whereby a pin is absent in the last row.

The connector allows the connection with the same space consumption of more monitors, as it is possible with a single DVI interface. The two DVI - I signals of the DMS -59 provide two analog VGA signals, or two digital DVI signals. This can be connected via a single DMS-59 connectors using a suitable adapter ("Y - cable " ) two monitors.

The name derives from Dual Monitor Solution and the 59 pins of the connector.
