DMX (Rapper)

Earl Simmons ( born December 18, 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland ) is an American rapper and actor known under the pen name DMX ( Dark Man X).

Biography

Earl Simmons was born in Baltimore, Maryland but grew up in Yonkers, in the U.S. state of New York. His parents were devout Christians. So he grew up in a very religious home and in poor conditions. His mother was a follower of Jehovah 's Witnesses. In his youth he was partly due to a robbery in a juvenile detention center. With Jay -Z, Busta Rhymes and Biggie Smalls, he attended the same school. His stage name "DMX " means Dark Man X, although he in his debut single still "Divine Master of the Unknown " was called. By winning the Unsigned Hype Awards of the magazine The Source, and his debut single Born Loser He gained nationwide notoriety. However, the single was not a commercial success. It was followed by further albums and singles that have been successful for some. In 1998, he joined the rap crew Ruff Ryders.

His debut album It 's Dark and Hell is Hot came in 1998 to market and rose to the top spot on the Billboard charts. Published later albums Flesh Of My Flesh Blood Of My Blood ( 1998), ... And Then There Was X ( 1999), The Great Depression (2001) and his fifth album Grand Champ (2003), in his publication he end of his career as a musician announced. On July 25, 2005, however, he gave a new album known which appeared under the title Year of the Dog ... Again on August 1, 2006. All albums except the Year of the Dog ... In addition, DMX wrote his autobiography EARL: The Autobiography of DMX, which was published in 2003.

His planned for the end of 2008 albums Walk With Me Now and You'll Fly With Me Later were moved to the summer of 2009, after he was sentenced on January 30, 2009 in Phoenix because of mistreatment of animals, drug offenses and theft to 90 days jail.

2011 had DMX due to various offenses (including for breach of probation and assault ) back to prison. In July 2011, he was released after seven months. He then announced a new studio album. Undisputed was released on June 26, 2012, with guest contributions from Busta Rhymes, Tyrese and Jennifer Hudson, but was postponed to 11 September 2012. The announced feature guests such as Busta Rhymes, Tyrese and Jennifer Hudson were no longer represented on the tracklist.

The first single from the album I Do not Dance was released several months before the album's release.

Private life

Simmons first marriage felt about 1999 to 2010. With his first wife he had four children. DMX had during the marriage with his first wife numerous affairs. This DMX has two illegitimate children by different women. Since DNA testing clearly identified him as a father, he had to pay alimony to one of the mothers in the amount of 1.5 million dollars.

As Simmons announced in an interview that he is engaged to model Yadira Borrego. The two have a daughter.

In a radio interview, he announced to his father of ten children.
