Dmytro Doroshenko

Dmytro Doroshenko ( born April 8, 1882 in Vilnius, † March 19, 1951 in Munich) was a Ukrainian historian and politician.

Doroshenko comes from a family that had produced well-known politicians and scholars since the 17th century, such as the Kosakenhetmänner Mykhailo Doroshenko († 1628) and Petro Doroshenko (* 1627 in Tschyhyryn, † 1698 in Jaropoltscha in Moscow). He belonged to the Ukrainian Central Council in 1917 and 1918, as Foreign Minister of the government Skoropadskyj. After its collapse, he emigrated.

In emigration Doroshenko worked as a university teacher and writer. Thus a u at the Ukrainian Free University in Prague and Munich.
