Do Make Say Think

Do Make Say Think is a Canadian band from Toronto, Ontario. Their music is mainly attributable to the post-rock, the group combined with elements of jazz and electro.

The band's name refers to the (at that time still in school located ) rehearsal room the band, where four notes with the respective words "Do", "Make", " Say " and " Think" hung.

History

Do Make Say Think was founded between 1995 and 1996 in Toronto, where the band in 1997 on their own self-titled debut album, recorded that she released without a record label. In spring 1998, the Montreal post-rock label Constellation Records became aware of it, and yet in the same year, their debut was re-released on Constellation. Since then, Do Make Say Think have remained true to the label. To view the publications in Europe since cares Southern Records.

The founding members of the band are Ohad Benchetrit (guitar, bass guitar, saxophone, flute), Jason McKenzie (keyboards), James Payment (drums), Justin Small ( guitar) and Charles Spearin (bass, guitar, trumpet ). Jason McKenzie left the band after the recording of their second album, but in 1998 joined Dave Mitchell added to the band. Lately, Jason Baird, Brian Cram and more recently Julie Penner played with as a support in the band.

By 2009 published Do Make Say Think six albums and have established themselves as a fixture in the post-rock scene. Meanwhile, the group has fans in all parts of the world, which is also due to their extensive touring.
