Dobrna

Dobrna ( German: Neuhaus) is a municipality in the Spodnja Štajerska region in Slovenia.

In the overall community consisting of 11 villages around 2129 inhabitants. The main town Dobrna alone has 554 inhabitants. The municipality is located in Celje basin, 18 km from Celje and 80 km from Ljubljana.

Dobrna is known since the 15th century for its mineral springs. It is the oldest spa in Slovenia with an over 600 year old tradition. In the 19th century the spa especially for aristocratic people, like Louis Bonaparte, developed into a center of spa culture. Also worth seeing are the ruins of the castles Dobrna and Novi grad
