Dobrochov

Dobrochov ( German Dobrochau ) is a municipality with 271 inhabitants in the Czech Republic, it is located 10 km south of Prostějov in 270 m asl on the European road 462 and belongs to the Okres Prostějov. The municipal area is 252 ha

History

Dochrochov was first documented in 1337. In 1937 the fire department was founded.

The Předina (312 m) east of Dobrochov is the location of a medium wave transmitter ( 954 kHz) of the Czech Radio, which can be received in the night hours in Germany. As a transmitting antenna, a 152 -meter-high free-standing steel lattice tower is employed. In addition there exists a 55 -meter high guyed steel lattice mast.
