Action

The doctor Benjamin Stone leaves his job as a doctor in the emergency room in Washington, DC and is on her way to Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, where he is to attend a job interview with a famous plastic surgeon. On the way he inflicted in the small town of Grady, South Carolina in a car accident. He is sentenced to 32 hours of community service, which he is expected to work at the local hospital, while his car is being repaired. Nicholson, the mayor of the town, vying with reception committee and invitations to Stone and wants to hire him in the hospital, as the now active physician Dr. Aurelius Hogue, really should be retired long ago.

Stone flirts with the ambulance driver Vialula, a confident single mother of a four year old daughter. However, even the local insurance agent Hank Gordon makes hopes for Vialula.
