DocBook
DocBook is a document format that is set in a present for SGML and XML document type definition (DTD). It is particularly suitable for the creation of books, articles and documentaries in a technical environment (hardware or software). DocBook is an open standard that is maintained by the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards ( OASIS ).
The most widespread is the use of DocBook in open source projects. To use the Linux Documentation Project, the DTD to create the howto. KDE and GNOME / GTK use it as a basic format for all the API documentation and user manuals of the application programs.

Example Code
The current version is DocBook V5.0 dated 12 August 2008. The main difference of 5.0 is to earlier 4.x version that a Docbook element in the document regardless of its position has the same content. Version 5.0 is not compatible with earlier versions.
