Etihad Stadium (also Docklands Stadium ) is a stadium in the district of Docklands in Melbourne, Australia. The stadium was (named after a financial services ) in 2000 as Colonial Stadium opened. The change of name for a telecommunications company Telstra Dome was 2002., The owner is the company James Fielding Funds Management, which acquired the stadium in 2006 for 330 million Australian dollars from the TV station Channel Seven. Since 1 March 2009, the stadium is called Etihad Stadium after an agreement with Etihad Airways, an airline of the United Arab Emirates, has been completed.

One of the features of the stadium to be highlighted is the closable roof.

The seating capacity is approximately 56,000. The stadium is in the main clubs of the Australian Football League - St Kilda, Carlton, Essendon, North Melbourne, West Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs - used. Also the A-League soccer club Melbourne Victory plays its home games from here. In addition to other sports, such as one- day cricket and rugby entertainment events are held there, such as the spectacular concert by American rock legend Kiss with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
