Dodoma
Region
Dodoma is the capital of Tanzania (United Republic of Tanzania ) and the Dodoma region. The city was founded in 1907 by German settlers and is equipped with 199 487 inhabitants (as of March 13, 2014) is the eighth largest city in Tanzania has ( list of cities in Tanzania) and the federal district covers an area of 2576 km ². History

Economy

The local authority Dodomas is also responsible for the upkeep of the nearby Hombolo Reservoir.
Medical care
2003 Dodoma Tanzania Health Development ( DTHD ) and Dodoma Christian Medical Center ( DCMC ) was established with U.S. American help. The clinic serves today all medical areas with more than 100 beds. The Mvumi hospital supplies the rural population of the surrounding area since 2009. Among the smaller private jack is one of the Aga Khan Primary Medical Centre.
Traffic
The city lies on the Tanganjikabahn and as an important north - south road transport corridor of Tanzania, the so-called inland route. In addition, a road leads to Dar es Salaam, as well as to Morogoro.
In the middle of the town is the airport with connections in Tanzania, where there is also the national operations center of the mission pilot in the MAF. Plans for the construction of an international airport is underway.
Next bus lines connect the city in the national intercity bus system.
Education
In Dodoma has been around since 2007, three universities: the [ [ St. John's University of Tanzania ] ] the Anglican Church of Tanzania and the University of Dodoma with about 22,000 students and the Institute of Rural Development Planning ( IRDP ). There are also some state schools as well as an Anglican and Catholic private schools and a hotel school. Since 1994 there has been a supported of the Netherlands School for Deaf Children ( EOTAS ). 100 blind pupils are about 20 km west of Dodoma at the " Buigiri School for the Blind " taught.
