Bang Nang Buat Doem ( Thai: อำเภอ เดิมบางนางบวช ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the northeastern province of Suphanburi. Suphanburi is located in the western part of central Thailand.

Geography

The neighboring Amphoe are clockwise from the North: Amphoe Hankha and Amphoe Sankhaburi Chainat Province, Amphoe Bang Rachan and the Khai Bang Rachan the province of Singburi, Ang Thong province Sawaeng Ha, Amphoe Sam Chuk and, Nong Ya Sai and Dan Chang the province of Suphanburi.

The main water resource of Bang Nang Buat Doem is the Maenam Tha Chin ( Tha Chin River ), also called Maenam Suphan ( Suphan River ).

History

In the past, the district Nang Buat initially comprised a large area. Prince Damrong Rajanubhab and the governor of Suphanburi decided on 16 May 1911 to separate the northern part and set up a new district Doem Bang. They also added two tambon of the district Hankha the province of Chainat and two Tambon Bang Rachan from the district of the province of Singburi.

The provincial government changed in 1939, the name of Nang Buat district in Amphoe Sam Chuk, and added the name of Doem Bang Nang Buat add the syllables, so that he Doem Bang Nang Buat has since been known.

The administration building is located since 1995 at the Chainat - Suphanburi Road in Tambon Khao Phra.

  • Doem Bang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เดิม บาง ) also consists of parts of the tambon Bang Doem.
