Dog grooming

Trimming ( clip from the English, re-cut ) means, in relation with dogs the plucking hairs from the coat with your fingers or with the trim knife.

Some dog breeds, especially terriers, with rauhaarigem fur, such as the Airedale Terrier, Fox Terrier, Cairn Terrier but also Schnauzer and Rauhhaardackel be trimmed. Her fur was changed so that it was more robust and water-repellent through breeding. The normal skin change did not take place. Thus, the animals could be used year-round for hunting. The dead outer coat is removed to prevent skin irritation and eczema and stimulate fur growth. Loose undercoat, however, can be easily combed out. Trimming is carried out continuously every three to four months.
