Dog whistle

The Galtonpfeife was invented by Sir Francis Galton and is a lip whistle with a closed and variable in length body to produce high frequencies. The frequencies reach well into the ultrasonic range.

Can Galtonpfeifen by mouth with a rubber ball or, as they are built into an organ, are blown by machine.

The Galtonpfeife, blown with the mouth, very often used in a special form for the training of dolphins and other animals, such as dogs and cats. The trick, however, is very low for the animal perceived very well and over long distances, for humans. Thus, a disturbance of the environment is greatly reduced.
