Doğanşar (formerly İpsile ) is a town and a district of Sivas Province in Turkey. The town has 1,419 inhabitants Doğanşar and the county 2,699 inhabitants. The county Doğanşar located in the north of the province, bordering Tokat. Doğanşar has the status of a Belediye and is since 1990 an independent county. The original name of Greek origin was İpsile. The district comprised in 2013 a total of 26 villages.
