Geography
Geographical Location
Drilling is located northwest of the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Tostedt, which has its headquarters in the town of Tostedt. Drilling is drained by the Dohrener mill creek.

The sports complex of S.V. Drilling eV includes two soccer fields, a baseball field, a sports house, a tool shed and floodlights. Sports Offered are: Football (men and women), baseball and softball (under the name Dohren Wild Farmers ), table tennis ( men, women, young people), aerobics, women's gymnastics, kids gymnastics, running group, senior sports, running badges, volleyball and hiking. The men's team of Drilling Wild Farmers played first time in 2010 in the baseball league. The student team is the reigning German vice-champion, the German junior champion.
