The Dokkyo University (Japanese独 协 大学, Dokkyo daigaku ) is a private university in Japan. The campus is located in Soka in Saitama Prefecture.

History

The University has its origins in the club's school for German Science (独 逸 学 协会 学校, Doitsu - gaku Kyōkai Gakko ), the 1883 in Tokyo by Amane Nishi (西 周, 1829-1897, philosopher and educator ), Yajiro Shinagawa (品 川 弥 二郎, 1843-1900, politician was founded ) and other scientists to introduce the German culture in Japan.
