Doktor Martin

Doctor Martin was a film for ZDF produced by the production company Phoenix doctor series. The first series was first broadcast in July 2007, the second season in July 2009.

The series is an adaptation of the British television series Doc Martin, which was devised by Dominic Minghella and aired from 2004 to (for now) 2007 Independent Television (ITV ).

In July 2009 it was announced that the series is set on the basis of modest success.

Content

The story is about the Berlin vascular surgeon Dr. Martin Helling (Axel Milberg ) suspended his job in Berlin because of a blood phobia on the nail and pulls in the quaint fishing village of East Frisian Neuharlingersiel, in order to seek a new beginning. But there, everything is different than in the big city life. There is no hassle in practice. The patient would rather stay for a cup of tea a Klönschnack. Apart from Neuharlingersiel more place names used are fictitious. The narrative structure of the series is based primarily on a strong oversubscription ostensibly East Frisian peculiarities of the figures.
