  • Dolichosuchus cristatus

Dolichosuchus ( German: " long crocodile " ) was a genus of theropod dinosaur from the Upper Triassic. He lived 218-211 million years ago ( Norian ) in present-day Germany. The fossil remains of Dolichosuchus were discovered in the German Kaltenhal. With the discovery, it was, however, only a fossil leg bones, which is why Dolichosuchus now considered nomen dubium.

1932 by Friedrich von Huene Dolichosuchus genus was described based on this fossil as Coelurosaurier. According to current knowledge, it is usually classified in the Coelophysoidea, which is not recognized by all experts.

The length of the Dolichosuchus is estimated at 5 meters, this figure being very speculative.
