History

Human settlement traces are detected in the local area for about 55,000 years. It is assumed that it has, however, acted as no sedentary settlement. Traces of glacial and postglacial hunters were mainly found in the area of today's roads Immengrund and Pleisshorn. Since when is there a complete settlement is unclear. An indication of this is derived from the interpretation of the name by the name researcher Jürgen Udolph. This assumes that the name had arisen about the birth of Christ. The oldest written tradition is a fake in the middle of the 12th century deed, dated 11 November 1105. This document deals with the material equipment of the newly founded monastery Katlenburg.

The list of taxpayers of 1524 called for the first time the names of residents.

On April 8, 1793 a fire destroyed the village and up to two or three buildings. On April 22, 1793 was reported in the " Hanoverian Show " that Dollern had burned at Bremen on 8 April of the year at 9 clock, within an hour, that two dead were to complain and that many are found in medical treatment have. On April 29, was reported in the newspaper that there were a total of 39 houses burned down. Also Bargstedt, located in the same office, had been affected by fire. There were on April 10, 32 buildings burned down, and you had to complain about a woman's life.

The reconstruction has been started in the same year. The Torbalkeninschriften of some of the houses in the style of the Low German hall house recall this catastrophe and are still standing in the old village.

In October 2004, a richly illustrated chronicle the history of the place was after intensive work will be published, and the anniversary was in 2005, celebrated the 900 th anniversary of the town in Dollern, the mention in the, albeit fake, deed of 1105 based was laid.

Therefore, the basic shape is difficult to determine. There is much to be expected on the basis of the document of 1105 Dolnere of a basic form " Dolnere ". This " ira " is included. This means that what is written in the first part of the name, the place is available. In " Dol " a connection with Dollbergen near Hanover may be assumed therein lies a word for " hill, hill ", as in the Middle Low German and Westphalian " dulle " for " bump ", "doll" for " rowing peg ", Middle Low German " dolle, dulle " for" tree, beams, peg "or" treetop, tree clumps, " in Swedish " tull " for" treetop ".
