Dolmabahçe Clock Tower

The Clock Tower Dolmabahçe ( Dolmabahçe Turkish seed 's Tower ) is a clock tower in Istanbul's Beşiktaş, the Sultan Abdulhamid II was built in the years 1890-1894. The tower is located on the European shore of the Bosphorus, between the Dolmabahce Mosque ( Bezm -i Alem Valide Sultan Camii ) and the Dolmabahce Palace.

The design of the tower, which is associated with the Empire style, as well as the neo-baroque comes from Sarkis Bey, a member of the Armenian Balyan family of architects and master builders. The four-storey, 27 -meter-high building stands with a floor area of 8.5 × 8.5 meters centered on a 12 × 12 -foot marble platform that is occupied in each corner with small fountain. The spiral staircase in the building has 94 levels. The movement was made by the Parisian watchmaker Paul Garnier ( 1834-1916 ).
