Dolphin (Emulator)

Dolphin is a Gamecube and Wii emulator. The name is the same during development by Nintendo used code names of the GameCube console.

He was the first GameCube and Wii emulator able to emulate commercial games. Many games run though limited, but there are also games which are fully playable.

On 13 July 2008, the Dolphin team has released the source code, since new versions are published daily on the developer's side of the project. These improve the emulation compatibility and speed dramatically, further since there are also 64 -bit versions for all operating systems.

On 12 April 2010 Dolphin 2.0 was released as the first official release since the project is developed as free software. Dolphin 3.0 was released on June 24, 2011 3.5 with FreeBSD support on December 25, 2012.
