Domatium

As Domatien (from Latin domus "house" ) plant parts are referred to in botany, the animals, mostly insects, to provide housing.

Occasionally the name of an animal group will be found to be more accurate determination. Acarodomatien are often tufts of hair on the underside of leaves and house mites. Myrmekodomatien are often cavities that are inhabited by ants.
