Domenico della Rovere

Domenico della Rovere (* 1442 in Vinovo, † April 22, 1501 in Turin ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

The brother of Cristoforo della Rovere was canon of the cathedral chapter in Lausanne and Prior of Saint -André. He was also auditor of the Roman Rota and canons of the chapter of St. Peter's.

From his relatives, Pope Sixtus IV, promoted, he was appointed by Montefiascone on February 10, 1478 cardinal priest of Santi Vitale, Valeria, Gervasio e Protasio, on February 11, 1478 Archbishop of Tarentaise and on August 24, 1478 Bishop. After he had changed as a cardinal priest on August 13, 1479 on the titular church of San Clemente, he was born on July 19, 1482 Bishop of Geneva, which he, however, on July 24th of the year exchanged for the Diocese of Turin.

He was buried next to his brother in Rome. Later his remains were transferred to Turin and kept in the crypt of the Cathedral of Turin.
