Domenico Sorrentino

Domenico Sorrentino ( born May 16, 1948 in Boscoreale ) is Archbishop ad personam of Assisi - Nocera Umbra - Gualdo Cattaneo.

Life

Domenico Sorrentino received on 24 June 1972, the ordination. John Paul II appointed him on 17 February 2001 to the prelates of Pompei. As a motto he chose Abba Father.

The pope personally gave him on 19 March of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Cardinal Angelo Sodano, Cardinal Secretary of State, and Giovanni Battista Re, substitute of the Secretariat of State.

On 2 August 2003 he was appointed Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. Benedict XVI. appointed him on 19 November 2005 as Archbishop ad personam of Assisi - Nocera Umbra - Gualdo Cattaneo.
