Domenico Veneziano

Domenico Veneziano (* around 1410 in Venice; † around 1461 in Florence) was an Italian painter. He is regarded as a major champion of the early Florentine Renaissance.

He received his training at Masolino da Panicale, Masaccio and Donatello. He has not created many works. Only two are signed by him: two panels of altarpiece of Santa Lucia de Bardi and a fresco fragment of a tabernacle, representing the Madonna and Child, the " Adoration of the Magi ," Tondo of the Medici, tempera on wood, ∅ 84 cm, Berlin, National Museums of Prussian Cultural Heritage, Art Gallery
