Domingo Tibaduiza

Tibaduiza Domingo ( Domingo Tibaduiza Reyes, born November 22, 1949) is a former Colombian long-distance runner.

As rail runner, he won gold in the 10,000 m at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1974, and over 5000 m at the Pan American Games in 1975 and set numerous state records.

In the early 1980s he moved to the marathon distance. In 1981 he was second in the Montreal Marathon in 2:12:23. The following year, he finished second at the San Francisco Marathon and won the Berlin Marathon. In 1983 he finished fourth in the Stockholm and eighth in the New York City Marathon.

More success in road races are victories in the Corrida Internacional São Silvestre (1977 ), at the Darmstadt City Run (1978) and in the night of Borg Holzhausen ( 1980).

Tibaduiza took part in four Olympic Games: 1972 in Munich, he retired in the supply of over 10,000 m in 1976 in Montreal in the heats over 5000 and 10,000 meters. In Moscow in 1980, he gave up the lead in the 10,000 m and finished third in the Marathon 17th Place, Los Angeles in 1984, he retired from the 10,000 m in the flow and did not reach the goal in the marathon.
