Domingos Martins

Domingos Martins is a Brazilian small town with about 30,000 inhabitants in the state of Espírito Santo, about 50 kilometers from the provincial capital of Vitória in the interior, with predominantly ( about 80%) German-born Protestant population.

Domingos Martins is the cultural and economic center of a predominantly by immigrants from the Hunsrück and from Pomerania populated area. In the Municipal Museum Casa da Cultura, the history of immigration is documented. Folklore dance groups such as the youth dance group Pommer or Pommer choir maintain the traditions of the community. Highlights of the annual festivities are the summer festival, the harvest festival and the festival Pommer.
