Dominik Koll (Vienna 2008)

Dominik Koll ( born December 24, 1984 in Linz) is an Austrian swimmer.

Career

He swims for the plant association of voestalpine in Linz, SK VOEST Linz. The 184 cm large swimming professional prefers the freestyle distances over the short or medium distances.

In the European Swimming Championships in Budapest in 2006, he reached the 100m freestyle with a new Austrian record 30th place in the final of the 200m freestyle the 8th Place and in the 400m freestyle the 18th Place. Two years later, at the European Swimming Championships 2008 in Eindhoven, he reached the 200 m freestyle to 10th place in the 400m freestyle the 16th Place and sensational with the 4 x 200 m freestyle relay ( together with Markus Rogan, David Brandl and Dinko Jukic ) the bronze medal.

In Melbourne at the World Swimming Championships in 2007 he won the 200 m freestyle and the ninth in the 400m freestyle the 16 place.

The Short Course European Championships 2007 in Debrecen, he reached the 27th place in the 200m freestyle the 10th Place and 400m freestyle on the 8th Place 100 m freestyle.

In the Long Course Championships in Eindhoven in 2008, he won the Austrian 4 x 200 m freestyle relay bronze.

He currently trains at the Upper Austrian trainer Helge Goedecke at the Olympic Center in Linz.
