Dominik Starkl

Dominik Starkl (born 6 November 1993, Krems an der Donau) is an Austrian football player. The striker plays in the Austrian Bundesliga SK Rapid Wien.

Sports career

Starkl began his career with the Kremser SC in Lower Austria. In 2006 he was transferred for a season in the youth department of the SC Getzersdorf before he was inducted into the Academy of SKN St. Polten. There he remained four years before he was hired by the Austrian record champions SK Rapid Wien.

In his first season with the Green-Whites he was appointed to the squad of the second team. His debut Starkl under Zoran Barisic 9 August 2011 against SC Neusiedl am See. He played from the beginning and was replaced in the 77th minute for Daniel Randak. The game was won 2-1. Overall, the striker came in that season on 25 more missions and scored eight goals.

2012/13 he was brought into the first team of SK Rapid Wien. Trainer Peter Schöttel Starkl changed on 3 November 2012 compared to SK Sturm Graz in the 57th minute for a Ildiz Muhammed. His debut in the highest Austrian league was lost in the UPC Arena Graz 1:2, with 1:2 Starkl the prepared ten minutes after his introduction by Guido Burgstaller.
