Dominique Arnold

Dominique Arnold ( born September 14, 1973 in Compton, California) is an American athlete and American record holder in the 110 meter hurdles.

The 110 -meter hurdles sprinter Arnold had his first major success in 1999, when he was fifth in the U.S. Championships. In 2006 he was in 13:10 seconds U.S. champion. He was fourth in the U.S. Championships in 2001. After injury breaks, he could with difficulty get back to its previous shape. He succeeded in 2005, when he was a new personal best time of 13.01 seconds Second U.S. Championship and thus qualified for the athletics the U.S. national team for the first time. At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005, he missed a medal in fourth just barely.

When athletics meeting in Lausanne in 2006 he was able to put up with 12.90 seconds a new U.S. national record. However, it was enough for him not to the world record, because the Chinese Liu Xiang was two hundredths of a second faster than Arnold. However, he beat the previous world record of Liu Xiang and the Briton Colin Jackson, who jointly hold previously had the world record of 12.91 seconds.
