Dominique Cornu

Dominique Cornu (born 10 October 1985 in Beveren ) is a Belgian racing cyclist.

U23 world champion in the time trial in 2006

Dominique Cornu won the 2003 Belgian Champion title in the junior time trial, which he successfully defended in 2004. Since 2005 he rode for the Belgian junior team Bodysol - Win for Life - Jong Vlaanderen. In this year he was Belgian time trial champion the U23 class. Thereafter, he also won some minor races down the road. In 2006 he was national champion in the individual pursuit at the track cycling. In September 2006, he was U23 world champion in the time trial at the World Championships in Salzburg. 2007 and 2008 was Cornu at the Belgian UCI ProTeam Davitamon -Lotto under contract, before moving to QuickStep 2010. After only one year, however, it Cornu moved to the Dutch team Skil- Shimano. Also by this team he left after one season. From 2011 Cornu should be with the newly formed Australian Pegasus team under contract. After this team but no license as a Professional Continental team received, he moved to topsport Vlaanderen- Mercator.
