Dominique Perben

Dominique Perben ( born August 11, 1945 in Lyon ) is a French politician. According to the Ministry of Justice under Raffarin, then (2005-2007) was under him the Ministry of Transport in the government of Dominique de Villepin. Dominique Perben is married and father of three children.

Life

The university degree in economics, he scored 1966 of the Political Academy of Paris in 1972 at the School of Administration in Paris. Then he took several offices perceive as overseers. He was Chairman of the Cabinet in 1977 by Norbert Ségard, the then Secretary of State for Telecommunications and 1982 head of the service department in the Rhône- Alpes region

Political career

From 1983 to 2002, Perben mayor of Chalon -sur -Saône. At the same time, he was from 1985 to 1988 Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council of the department of Saône -et -Loire from 1992 to 1993 Member of the Regional Council of Burgundy. Since March 2004 he is the representative of the Canton of Lyon- VI of the General Council of the Rhône and is First Vice- President of that Council.

From 1998 to 1999 he was secretary of the Rassemblement pour Perben la République (RPR ) for foreign affairs at the national level, for later reforms of state institutions, the civil service and the Space Agency.

In each case, 1986, 1993,1997 and 2002 experienced Perben his election and re-election as Members of the 5th district of the department of Saône -et -Loire. He was a member of the Legislation Commission of the National Assembly and appointed by the Group Member of the parliamentary committee for the evaluation of legislation at this time.

From 1993 to 1995 Perben was the responsible Minister for the Overseas Territories (Government of Édouard Balladur ). From 1995 to 1997 he held the office of minister for civil service reform and decentralization of government institutions ( government of Alain Juppé ). Then he held from 2002 to 2005 the Justice Department (Government of Jean -Pierre Raffarin ) and was between the 2nd June 2005 and 15 May 2007 Minister for Transport, Equipment, Tourism and Maritime Economy in the government Dominique de Villepin.

On January 9, 2012, he announced his withdrawal from political life, to work as a lawyer.
