Don Alden Adams

Don Alden Adams ( born 1925 in Oak Park, Illinois) is the current president of the Watch Tower Society, a legal entity of Jehovah's Witnesses. In contrast to his predecessors, Adams is not a member of the " Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses " and thus exerts no religious line function but a purely administrative task. He is little known even among Jehovah's Witnesses.

Life

Adams grew up in a large family, whose roots lay in the American Episcopal Church. But Adams ' mother and his father with the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses addressed later. Thus, their children came into contact with the teaching. Adams joined the movement, became a preacher and began to proselytize. In 2000 he became 7th President of the Watchtower Society.
