Don Arden

Don Arden ( born January 4, 1926 in Manchester, † July 21, 2007 in Los Angeles, actually Harry Levy ) was a British music manager.

Life

As a teenager, Don Arden began during the Second World War, a career as a singer, organized in the 1950s, but tours for U.S. musicians such as Gene Vincent and Little Richard. Bands like Electric Light Orchestra, Small Faces, and Black Sabbath helped Arden later success. In 1966, he was threatened because of disputes about the band Small Faces his manager Robert Stigwood competitors from a fourth-floor window to throw.

Don Arden's wife, the ballet teacher Hope Shaw died in 1998. Their daughter Sharon Rachel is the wife of rock musician Ozzy Osbourne.

In 2002, was diagnosed with Alzheimer Arden died age of 81 in a nursing home in Los Angeles, California. He was buried on 25 July 2007 at the Jewish cemetery in Manchester.
