Don Backy

Don Backy ( Aldo Caponi actually, born August 21, 1939 in Santa Croce sull'Arno ) is an Italian singer and actor.

Life

Backy came from the age of sixteen years with an amateur group just as a performer of popular American and British hits and moved in 1961 under the pseudonym Agaton turned professional. He belonged until 1968 to the clan to Adriano Celentano and was able to import the early 1980s a number of successful titles, including fuggiasco, Amico, L' amore, L' immensità or his number 1 hit of 1968, Canzone. 1967 and 1968 he took part in the Sanremo Festival. In addition to his singing, he worked as a writer, painter and film composer - eg Chernova for Ruta.

After a few appearances in guest roles he began in 1967 a career as an actor, which he pursued until 1975 and in which he was featured in numerous unassuming commercial films, but also played under Carlo Lizzani; In 1981 he joined for Bernardo Bertolucci again before the camera.
