Don Estelle

Don Estelle (actually Ronald Edwards; * May 22, 1933 Manchester, † August 2, 2003 in Rochdale ) was a British actor and singer.

Life

Along with fellow actor Windsor Davies he often toured through Great Britain. But he was known primarily for series roles, including as a Gunner " Lofty " Sugden in the comedy series It Is not Half Hot Mum.

He had his greatest success singing also. Along with Windsor Davies with the number -one hit Whispering Grass, who has sold over a million times Estelle and Davies sing the song in their role figures Lofty and BSM Williams.
