Don Fellows

Don Fellows ( born December 22, 1922 in Salt Lake City; † 21 October 2007 ) was an American actor.

Life

Born in Salt Lake City Fellows grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, where he studied drama at the University of Wisconsin -Madison under Lee Strasberg. One of his classmates was Marilyn Monroe. After the end of World War II, during which he served in the Navy, he moved to New York City. First he joined in 1958 as an extra on the side of Henry Fonda in Mister Roberts on Broadway, but later he got a speaking role. It worked for several years, caused by the excessive stage fright break. On the side of Julie Harris, he returned in 1952 in Marathon '33 to the stage and played until the end of the 1960s, both on Broadway, as well as in off-Broadway productions. In 1969 he went to London, where he had several engagements at the West End theaters, including the musical Promises, Promises by Neil Simon, Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and Arthur Miller's The Moment of Truth.

He returned later that year returned to New York, then moved to England permanently in 1973 but about where his feature film career began. He played in a number of worldwide hits, including The Omen, Raiders of the Lost Ark and in the two Superman films Superman II - Alone against all, and Superman IV - The Quest for Peace.

From the 1970s played Fellows in British television productions, including Dial M for Murder, Spy Trap, Moonbase Alpha 1 and Inspector Morse.
