Don Laws

Donald "Don" Laws is an American former figure skater and figure skating coach.

As a figure skater Laws participated as individual runners participated in the World Cup 1951 in Milan, finishing as the fifth best American seventh. His coach was Canadian Osborne Colson.

After ending his competitive career Laws was figure skating coach. His students included Scott Hamilton, Michael Weiss and Patrick Chan.

Laws was a member of the single and pair skating Committee of the ISU. He was involved in developing the new evaluation system in figure skating.
