Don Luce

Donald Harold Luce ( born October 2, 1948 in London, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player ( center ) and coach, from 1969 to 1982 for the New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, Buffalo Sabres, Los Angeles Kings and Toronto Maple leafs in the National Hockey League played.

Career

Luce played during his junior time together with Walt Tkaczuk for the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey Association. In the NHL Amateur Draft 1966, he was selected as 14 in the third round by the New York Rangers.

At the end of his second season with the Omaha Knights of the Central Hockey League, the Rangers brought him to the NHL. After twelve games this and nine at the start of the 1970/71 season he moved to the Detroit Red Wings. After he did not fit into the long-term concept of the Red Wings, they gave it off to the end of the season for Joe Daley at the Buffalo Sabres.
