Don Lurio

Don Lurio (actually: Donald Benjamin Lurio; * November 15, 1929 in New York City; † January 26, 2003 in Rome ) was an Italian dancer and choreographer.

Lurio, the child of Italian parents, was born in New York City. In the 1950s, he was there to experience as a dancer on Broadway, so he could be heard in the musical Peter Pan. After a tour in 1957 he settled down in Italy. Here he made the choreography in some dance and revue films, for example in the Casino de Paris in 1957. For the broadcaster RAI, he hosted his own Don Lurio show, broadcast by the four episodes in 1972 and in Germany in the First. Here he was, made sketches and received pop stars of the time.
