Dónal Lunny

Dónal Lunny ( born August 10, 1947 in Tullamore ) is an Irish folk musician. He is one of the musicians who popularized the Irish Folk.

Life

As a teenager Lunny lived in Newbridge, County Kildare in Ireland. He became a member of the band Rakes of Kildare, who was also the lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Christy Moore. Later they played together in the folk band The Emmet Spiceland. Her debut album The First was released in 1968.
