Donal Lyons

Donal Lyons is an Irish politician, former member of the Progressive Democrats, and since 1999 a member of the City Council of Galway.

Lyons was in 1986, since then the Progressive Democrats their association founded in Galway, a member of the party. In 1991 he joined the first time for an election. However, not managed to be elected to the Galway City Council. In 1999 and again in 2004 Lyons was elected to the city council. Between July 2001 and June 2002, he was mayor of the city. In the elections for the 29th and 30th Dáil Éireann Lyons ran for a seat, but was in 2002 or 2007 a ​​victory.
