Donald deAvila Jackson

Don D. Jackson ( born January 28, 1920 in Oakland, California, † January 29, 1968 in Foster City, California ) was an American psychiatrist and psychotherapist.

Jackson founded in 1959, the Mental Research Institute (MRI ) in Palo Alto, California. He succeeded, inter alia, Paul Watzlawick to win for the institute.

One focus of the work was the Jackson family therapy.
