Donald P. Hodel

Donald Paul Hodel (* May 23, 1935 in Portland, Oregon ) is a former American politician ( Republican), who belonged to the Reagan Cabinet as Interior Minister ( 1985-1989 ).

Life

He studied at Harvard and married Barbara Stockman. 2003-2005 he was the chairman of the organization Focus on the Family. Hodel was under Ronald Reagan's administration, the third minister of the interior, as the successor to William Patrick Clark. Previously, he had been acting as Secretary of Energy. Today, the Republican lives with his wife, who has been paralyzed since an accident in 2007, in Colorado.
