Donald Stewart (Alabama)

Wilbur Donald Stewart ( born February 8, 1940 in Munford, Alabama ) is an American politician.

Stewart studied at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and then attended the Law School of the University. In 1965 he was admitted to the legal profession and practiced in Anniston. 1970 to 1974 he was a member of the House of Representatives from Alabama and was followed from 1974 to 1978 Senator in the Senate of the State. On November 7, 1978 Stewart Democrat was elected to the United States Senate to fill the vacant seat of James B. Allen and bring his tenure to an end. Thus, Stewart took on 8 November 1978 to January 2, 1981 the state of Alabama in the United States Senate.
