Donatella Versace

Donatella Versace ( born 2 May 1955 in Reggio Calabria, Italy) is an Italian fashion designer, sister of the late Gianni Versace and since 1997 chief designer at Versace.

Mid-1970s, she studied economics. At their free weekends she visited her brother in his studio, and after the completion of her studies she lived with her brother an apartment in Milan. Originally they wanted to take over the PR work for Gianni, but Gianni, Donatella estimated more than muse and critic. In the 1990s, Gianni devoted her perfume " Blonde" and handed her the artistic director of the Young Versace Versus labels.

After her brother's death in 1997, Donatella took over the leadership of the fashion house to which it holds 20 % of the capital. Her solo debut was followed by the presentation of the spring collection of the main line in 1998. In July 1998, she hosted her first haute couture fashion show. Donatella Versace was awarded the 2005 Women's World Award in the category World Fashion Award.

Donatella was married to the former model Paul Beck, and has with him a son, Daniel, and a daughter, Allegra.
