Donbassaero

Donbass Aero (Russian Донбассаэро; Ukrainian ДонбасАеро ) was a Ukrainian airline based in Donetsk.

History

Donbass Aero was founded in 1933 as Donetsk State Airlines. Since 1992 Yak-42 are made in the company's shipyard overhauls the Yakovlev. In 1998 it was renamed the Donbass - the eastern air lines of the Ukraine. 2003, he was re- renamed to its present name.

In February 2007, a collaboration with the airline Aerosvit Airlines and Dniproawia agreed. Beginning of 2010 presented the areas under the control of the private group of Ihor Kolomojskyj airlines at Cartel Ukraine an application for merger.

After its sister companies AeroSvit and Dniproawia also Donbass Aero announced in mid-January 2013 on bankruptcy and ceased operations.

Destinations

Home base was the Donetsk airport. From here and from the Kiev airport consisted flight connections to destinations in the CIS countries, such as Moscow or Samara, in Europe, for example, Vilnius and Athens were served. Even destinations in the Middle East, such as Dubai and Tel Aviv, were part of the flight plan.
