Donburi

Donburi (Japanese丼) is a meal in Japanese cuisine, is filled with the rice in a bowl and then with the other ingredients - is covered - mostly meat.

Variations include the following:

  • Butadon or Tondon ( with pork )
  • Gyudon ( with beef )
  • Ikuradon ( with salmon spawning )
  • Katsudon ( with breaded pork chop )
  • Mabodon ( with Mapo- tofu)
  • Magurodon ( with tuna )
  • Oyakodon ( with eggs and chicken)
  • Tamagodon ( with eggs )
  • Tendon ( Tempura )
  • Unadon ( with eel)
  • Yakitoridon ( with Yakitori )

The name of most courts arises from the combination of " toppings " and the abbreviation for Donburi, "don".
