Donovan Ruddock

Donovan "Razor" Ruddock ( born December 12, 1963 in St. Catherine, Jamaica ) is a retired Canadian heavyweight boxer of Jamaican origin. He is often known only by the name Razor Ruddock.

Professional career

Ruddock was 1982 professional and punched initially cautious, he won only against three of his first nine opponents by knockout. Against David Jaco in the tenth battle he suffered an asthma attack and gave up the fight. Although he could end up in his fourteenth fight against getting on in years previous world champion Mike Weaver just one point victory, it nevertheless succeeded gradually in the sequence, to use his clout in the ring effectively.

Later he had his career with a series of victories finish against unknown opponents. An offer against Vitali Klitschko to fight the WBO World Championship in 2000, he had to cancel due to medical problems. As a substitute Chris Byrd was committed. In 2001, he finally ended his career.
