Doral is a city in Miami -Dade County in the U.S. state of Florida with 45 704 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Doral is located about 10 kilometers west of Miami.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 45 704 inhabitants distributed to 17,785 households. The population density was 1294.7 inh. / Km ². 88.7 % of the population were white, 2.5% African American, 0.1% Native American and 3.6 % Asian Americans. 3.0% were members of other ethnic groups and 2.1% in different ethnic groups. 79.5 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 13.9 % of all households lived in 50.7 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 79.4 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 3.00 persons and the average family size is 3.33 people.

31.0 % of the population were younger than 20 years, 31.6 % were 20-39 years old, 28.2% were 40-59 years old and 9.4 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 34 years. 48.1 % of the population were male and 51.9 % female.

Traffic

The metropolitan area is the Florida State Roads 821 ( Homestead Extension of Florida 's Turnpike, a toll road ), affected 826 ( Palmetto Expressway) and 836 (Dolphin Expressway toll road). The Miami International Airport is located just east of the city area.
